    Please read my first chapter?

She was walking through a dim, misty forest barefooted. She looked down to see that her slender body was covered by an elegant white gown. The sound of footsteps brought her head up to see a tall boy walking her way.

Evony Newbridge woke with a start just before she saw the boy’s face. The dream had ended this way every time she had it, and she had been having the dream for a little over a month. She ran her fingers through her hair and sighed. This was not a good way to begin her freshman year of high school. The cool wood floor made her shiver when she threw her legs over the edge of the bed. She made note of the time. 3:15 a.m., same as every other night; If it wasn’t at 3, it was within the hour.
Her feet made a sticky noise as she walked across the tiles of her bathroom and to the small closet where she kept her washcloths and towels. She wetted the cloth under the warm, calming water in her porcelain white sink and washed the sweat off of her face. Almost immediately as she looked into the mirror, she saw how her normally navy blue eyes had grayed over a little. She also saw that her straight black hair was tangled, she was pale, and her eyes and mouth were a mixture of stress and confusion. She closed her eyes and sighed again as she filled a little red cup with cool water and drank it quickly. Then, she got back into bed and spent the few hours she had left resting; not really asleep, but just resting.

Six o’clock came too fast. Her alarm went off and she slapped the snooze button twice before she dragged to the kitchen for her cup of coffee. Her mother walked in as she put a spoonful of coco into her mug.
“ Good morning little miss freshman.” said Audrey Newbridge. Everyone who had ever seen Evony and her mom together could tell that they were related; Evony looked like her mother’s twin. They were built the same all over. The only difference was that Mrs. Newbridge’s hair had gotten a few gray streaks over the years. “Are you excited?” Evony just looked up at her with a slight scowl as her mother smiled.
“Yes, but I’d like to still be in bed.” Evony said as she took a sip of the hot coffee. The dark liquid flowed over her tongue and warmed her throat as she swallowed.
“Well it’s necessary sweet pea. Just suck it up and smile. You’re in high school now!” Audrey said as she smiled and clapped her hands together. She stared expectantly at Evony until she gave a small grin. “That’s my girl. Now get upstairs and get dressed before you’re late for the bus.”
Evony walked slowly up the stairs so she wouldn’t spill her coffee. Light flooded the room when she flipped the light switch on her wall. She glided across the floor to her small, walk-in closet as if her feet never touched it. The racks screeched as she slid them across the metal bar until she chose a white tank top with a dark purple sundress. She slipped her feet into her favorite black sandals and grabbed the black belt hanging on the door and fastened it so it hung loosely around her hips. She walked into her bathroom and looked into the mirror as she had a mere three hours earlier. Her skin stayed acne free for the most part, so she didn’t feel the need to put on any makeup except her usual eyeliner. After brushing her hair and teeth, she was out the door.
Once she took her seat on bus thirteen and the weight of her book bag was lifted from her shoulders, she relaxed and listened to the sweet, summery music that was flowing from her iPod. Before she knew it, they had pulled into the school’s bus area. The freshmen were led from the lobby to the auditorium quickly and everyone scurried to find a seat among the chaos of the first day in a new school.
Everyone had barely settled into their seats when the sound of microphone static filled the room and they rushed to cover their ears. The principal rattled on about the rules and procedures and Evony listened loosely and looked around the room with bored eyes. She noticed that the cliques were all grouped together in masses. She was sure that the preps were talking about who was dating who and the computer nerds were talking about their current levels on World of Warcraft. Suddenly she spotted her best friend, Blair, who was in the corner looking anxious to get out. Blair hated large crowds almost as much as she was shy. She looked relieved when Evony came over to her after the lecture.
“I never thought he’d shut up.” Evony said as Blair gave her a huge hug.
“I know right? So how was summer at the Newbridge house while I wasn’t there?” Blair asked.
“Decent. Spent loads of time and money at the bookstore, and at the coffee shop. How was Camp A.D.D?” Blair had been a counselor at a camp for small children which Evony jokingly called ‘Camp A.D.D’ since the kids were so wild. As Blair described her summer, they walked together to their first period which they conveniently shared. They got to class five minutes before the bell. Evony was shocked when she saw the teacher. In the mirror my face looks good, but in pictures my skin is always red and shiny?

    Which one is accurate?
I look in the mirror and it’s pale and shine-free, but if I were to take a picture in the same lighting it turns out red and shiny.

I'm writing a teen novel easy ten points?

This is what I have so far..Is it good?:
Staring into her full length mirror, Kayla Westcott tilted her head to the side and frowned slightly, wondering what exactly was missing from her look. It couldn’t be her perfect auburn hair that was ruffled to perfection by her beloved hairstylist, Bernard. Nor could it be her seemingly flawless makeup: soft brown eye liner that made her emerald eyes captivating, and a light shimmer gloss that allowed her normally thin lips to appear plump and full. Her outfit as well, was much above average. For the first day of school, Kayla decided that it was imperative to remind everyone that she was still the leader of their ultra exclusive private school, Watson Private Academy and that she ruled over her famous clique. She adjusted her BCBG Tan Mini skirt so it hugged her hips tightly. Her White button down top was tucked into her skirt perfectly making her look sophisticated. Her favorite part of the outfit was the Marc Jacobs Wedges, they were too cute.

A short story I have wriiten, opinions and critiques?

Now, I do realize, this needs major work. It’s my first, and I know it probably sucks bad xD Bu some opinions and tips and such, would be more than helpful(:

—-Stumbling over her bedroom rug, Hannah pulls her sweater over her head. She walks over to her dresser and stares at her reflection in the mirror. She hardly recognizes herself. Her matted brown hair, bruised right cheek, scrape on her forehead and puffy eyes, she looks a mess. Struggling to brush through her tangled hair, she ignores the pain. Covering her scrapes and bruises with makeup, her vain attempt of hiding what she knew couldn’t be hidden. She took another look in the mirror, her injuries almost unnoticable. No one would notice if she was careful. Opening her bedroom door, she dashes through the hall and into the kitchen, trying not to wake her Father. She remembers though, he left drunk last night. She briefly remembers last night’s occurance. She shakes her head, as if she could shake the thoughts right out of her mind. Hannah looks around the kitchen, searching for some pills laying around, hoping to find some painkillers for her aching side. She stops as she notices the bottle of ibuprofen and takes a handfull, swallowing about 9. She didn’t realize until after she took them, that maybe she had taken more than what was healthy. At this point, she doesn’t much care. She lifts her shirt and sweater to inspect the bruises all along her left side. They were worse than she had assumed. She wondered for a moment that maybe she should have covered this too, with her makeup, but she then realizes that would be a silly thing to even think of. Hannah grabs her bookbag filled with books and walks out her front door. She would go to school, come home and go to bed. Hopefully avoiding as many people as possible in the process. She makes her way to her school, only less than half a mile, she could endure that. Although her side was increasingly becoming more and more unbearable. She ignored it. Walking on the sidewalk, she listens to the passing cars alongside of her. She wonders what it would be like to have a car. She loses herself in a mindless daydream about that for a few minutes, remembering she had somewhere she needed to be. She picked up pace, her side grew more painful by the second. Knowing her luck, she begins thinking, probably broke a rib or two. Oh well, if she could make it through today, she’d be fine. Almost there, now in the school parking lot, she has motivation to keep going. A few minutes and she would be in the safe confines of the library, hopefully napping on the floor, as long as she could go unnoticed. She felt so much safer inside the school, away from all the dangers of the outside world. Or so it sometimes seemed. Now inside, she walks through the crowded yet familiar halls. All these familiar faces, not one noticing her. While walking towards the library, she starts to feel a bit light headed, she shakes it off and walks quicker in the same direction. But she can’t seem to shake this feeling, an erie feeling she’s about to pass out. The room starts spinning, She struggles to keep her balance and grabs a hold of the closest wall. She spotted the restrooms less than a couple feet away, and stumbles towrds them just in time to fall over next to the empty stall. She gasps as she lands on her bruised left side, and screams in pain. She had never been in so much pain. She raises her hand to her head and feels warm wetness on her scalp. She must have hit her head on something sharp, when she fell. She tries to pull herself back up, but her dizziness hadn’t faded and she just lies where she is. Her thoughts begin to drift away from her, she finds herself losing conciousness. There was no use fighting it, it was waste of energy she no longer contained. She closed her eyes for a sleep she would never awaken.
    ———
As he woke up this morning, Anothony had the uneasy feeling something wasn’t quite right. He tried to ignore this ridiculous feeling, but he just couldn’t shake it. As he steps out of bed, he grabs a shirt and pulls it over his head sleepily. He walks around his room looking for some pants, when he finds them, he puts them on, fumbling with the zipper. Anthony walks out of his room and searches for some shoes in the hallway, and slips them on, not bothering to tie them untill he gets in his car. He drowzilly starts the engine while yawning and grumbling to himself about how school should start later in the day. As he drives down the familiar road in which he travels every school day, he notices Hannah. She has a pained look on her face and seems as though she’s about to cry. He thinks about stopping to see if she would care for a ride, but he doesn’t. For his offers in the past had never seemed to interest her before.
He had to admit, she was more independant than her looks lead her to be, also very pretty. Although most guys failed to see this, he had noticed her beauty the first day he layed eyes on
her. She had long, chesnut brown, wavy hair. Her eyes were the most stunning green he had ever seen, they always sparkled like no other. Her facial features reminded him of an angel, angelic and innocent. She had the fairest skin, like porcelain. She looked like a doll, except for the occasional times she would come to school with a few bruises, you could tell she tried to cover up with a fair amount of makeup. Most never noticed, but Anthony always noticed the tiniest deltails about her. He fancied her from the start. He never really put too much thought into her multiple bruises and other minor injuries, she seemed so fragile, he imagined her bruising at the slightest touch. He never talked to her much, she was so reserved most of the time, and most always kept to herself. He wondered why someone so incredibly wonderful as her, wouldn’t be more social. Then again, he was only basing his judgements on her appearance, and also her occasional column in the school newspaper. She always w
wrote of the most bitter and depressing things, but the saddest part, was that indeed her articles were nothing but the truth. The sad and bitter truth in everything, whether anyone wanted to realize, much less admit to it, or not. She was so talented, it amazed him.
He pulled his car in the parking lot, jerking himself out of his daydream. As he walked to the main entrance, he noticed Hannah stumbling in the direction of the library, he headed after her. Unfortunately the crowd got in the way and he lost track of where she went, he began to worry, she looked rather out of sorts. As he started sprinting towards the library, her normal domain, he stopped in his tracks when he heard a scream come from the restrooms. Panicing, he ran breathlessly to the restrooms, hoping that it wasn’t his dear, Hannah. What Anthony saw next, was what he had feared most. Lying on the floor, was a bleeding and unconcious Hannah Dixon. He frantically searched for a pulse on her motionless, body. He strugg
He struggled, searching, he couldn’t seem to find any sign of life, her body was limp and pale. Her eyes wide open staring striaght to the heavens above. A sob escaped his mouth as tears dripped down his cheek. He pulled her lifeless body onto his lap, crying harder than he could have thought possible. Her beautiful green eyes stared up at him, blank and glassy. Like a true doll, now, he thought. More tears silently worked their way down his face. He lies her back on the ground for a short moment while he picks himself up, then grabs her unmoving body and carries her out of the restroom. The bell for second period had already rang, so he didn’t have to worry about stares coming from other classmates as he carried one of their peers’ dead corpse through the halls. He was more numb than anything, he couldn’t grasp the thought that Hannah Dixon was no longer, but he just kept walking and pondering on why no else had heard her, why none of the teachers had came to see what all the commotion
was about. His thought was interrupted by a shriek of one of the guidance counselors, he stood there, tears streaming down his face, looking at her. "She’s dead." Was all that could come out before another sob escaped. He wasn’t sure how much longer he could go before breaking down. He held her pale, cold corpse for a few more minutes, waiting for the ambulance to arrive. When they came, he saw them lift her shirt up, revealing bruises that looked so incredibly painful he had to look away. His eyes watered again, stiffling another sob, he could have stopped this, this was preventable. He watched, mourning the loss of his love, as they zipped the body bag.
